Yes you’ve guessed it, these lovely cozy slippers were lasts weeks top secret craft project!
It was Steve’s birthday last week so I made these slippers for him.
I have to say it was no easy task keeping it a secret. I did the first part at the highland felting group on the weekend but then had to finish them off at home without him noticing!
There was lots of slipping off to the bathroom for “a nice long bath” to get them finished, anyway I finally got them done the night before his birthday, pheww!

I am loving your instructions and have made several pair of slippers. Can you answer a question about pilling, thought? My 1st pair started pilling soon after I began to wear them. Did I not felt them enough? And do you have any hints for preventing the roving from migrating away from the soles of the wellies while in the washer? Mine look pretty thin….
