Hi there!
Here’s a little something for the weekend for all you button lovers out there!
I was lucky enough to meet a retired seamstress at the car boot sale, and she was selling of all her buttons at a penny a button!
I was in heaven!
I also found this lovely old singer for £10
I have so many sewing machines now!
but I just couldn’t leave it sitting there looking all shiney and wonderful.
Do I have a problem?

NO! Not unless I do too (I have three, only one of which I use!) That is a simply gorgeous machine and I bet it works perfectly, you would have been mad not to buy it!

You would have been crazy to leave the machine behind! It looks like the anniversary model…is it? It is absolutely beautiful. Love the buttons, too.

I have this mad desire to find a treadle machine and attach my basic bernina to it. Exercise while I stich, save electricity, develop my calf muscles….

Which Car boot did you go to?
on a saturday?
I found tins of old buttons in a charity shop (not telling you which one) and asked the woman if she’d sell me a whole tin…but she said they were 15p per button!
I wasn’t pleased, as I’d hoped to come home with them ALL!
Oh well…. car boots here I come!
not that I need more ‘things’!!!!
I’m still waiting for that button and bob swap invite Caroline!
We should get the sewing group to organize one.
I have lots of stuff I want rid of….(unstuck from!)
That sewing machine is blimmin lovely!
NICE find!
Must come and chat ……instead of clogging up your blog!

Glad to find I am not alone in my obsession!
btw Heidi 15p per button is a crime against button lovers!
