Sewing and dolfins (not in that order)

By carolineinckle

Here I am again, I made it back..Yey!

You can imagine me now giving myself a pat on the back.

I’ve had such a great day today as my son and I took my dad dolfin spotting, he’s never seen one before and he is mad on wildlife so I was really pleased when they put on a fantastic display for us.

No pictures I’m afraid, not with my old camera!

Here is a bit of what I was doing last week.

I used some of my transfers to make this….

gift set1

Taddhaaa!

It’s a gift set for the shop.

A little zip up bag with four hand sewn post cards and a little broach.

gift set4

I really like it and will definitely make more.

This one was made with the idea of the whole thing being a nice gift for someone, but I’m toying with the idea of making bags containing a kind of gift stash, you know so you have a nice little bag full of small gifts to give at birthdays and then you get to keep the bag.

Any comments on that being a good or rubbish idea are welcome!

Bye for now.

I don’t think its a rubbish Idea but I do know people who wouldn’t get it and would throw the bag away. I would think it was a lovely gift but I know someone who made a beautiful box for someone for their birthday and put a handkercheil or somethong in it to make it seem like a gift and the recipient threw the box away!

Ooo that has made me think, you don’t want to put in all that effort for nothing….hmmm.
    Shame about the box!
